Personal Training Assessment Call Guide
Below are best practices for completing an initial personal training assessment call with a potential client. The main objectives are to recruit the client to train with you, ultimately purchasing your package options and locking in long term. Additionally, this is where you get to fully understand the client’s needs, goals, availability, etc.
Prepare for the call and have your training programming, talking points, pricing ready in front of you for quick access.
Begin the assessment by asking questions relating to the client, history, current state, etc. Go deep, let them talk as much as possible to allow you to get a full picture of your potential client. Get a full understanding of their goals out of training with you.
Talk about the type of programming you’d utilize for them and how you structure your workouts, give them a full picture into what a training session with you looks like.
Ask/chat about importance of frequency, nutrition, and sleep.
Pitch your program, tracking - show as much value to the client prior to talking about pricing.
Get them on the calendar first - work them to commit to an initial in person training.
Finally, discuss pricing options clearly to ensure clarity on your pricing structures, when payment is tendered, expirations, and notices.
