Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and friendly Gym Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization within the gym, assisting clients with their needs, and supporting gym coaches in daily operations. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and a passion for creating a welcoming and efficient environment for all members.
Key Responsibilities:
Gym Maintenance & Cleaning:
Regularly clean and sanitize gym equipment, workout spaces, locker rooms, and common areas.
Ensure that the gym is always neat, organized, and safe for members to use.
Restock supplies (e.g., towels, toilet paper, sanitizing towels, etc.) as needed.
Equipment Organization & Setup:
Monitor and maintain gym equipment to ensure it is in good condition.
Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment for classes and individual use.
Help ensure all equipment is returned to its proper place after use.
Client Support & Customer Service:
Greet and welcome members as they enter the gym with a positive attitude.
Assist clients with any questions they may have about the gym, equipment, or services.
Provide general support to members, ensuring their needs are met in a timely and friendly manner.
Assisting Coaches:
Support coaches in preparing for and executing fitness classes and personal training sessions.
Assist with any administrative tasks related to coaching, such as setting up stations, handling equipment, or monitoring class attendance.
Be proactive in assisting with client needs during training sessions or classes.
Safety & Security:
Report any safety hazards, broken equipment, or maintenance issues to management immediately.
Ensure members follow gym policies and use equipment properly to avoid injuries.
Customer Experience:
Promote a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all gym members.
Provide encouragement and motivation to clients when appropriate, enhancing their overall gym experience.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Previous experience in a customer service or fitness environment is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic knowledge of gym equipment and fitness practices (preferred).
A friendly, approachable demeanor and a passion for fitness and wellness.
Ability to handle physical tasks, such as lifting and organizing gym equipment.
CPR and First Aid certification (preferred or willing to obtain).
Ability to access forms via smartphone, submit daily task list online.
